ADMISSIONS POLICY

The school follows the Surrey LEA Policy, with children starting school at the beginning of the academic year in which they become five.

By the end of the autumn term all children will be attending school full time.  The children will be phased in during the autumn term, depending on their age and maturity, consideration being given to the needs of individual children, parental concerns and the professional judgement of staff.

Parents are invited to contact the school to make arrangements to talk to the Headteacher and to be shown around the school.  The school also has an open day each term, when prospective parents are welcome to come, without appointment, to see the school at work. Information about the school is contained within the school brochure, which is updated each year.

Parents will be notified by County as to whether they have obtained a place at the school.

Parents and children will be encouraged to visit the reception class during the summer term prior to the child starting school.
