Our school is a very special place. Children from Bramley and the surrounding areas have been coming here since 1850, and it is a joy and a privilege to play a small part in the school's history. |
From the moment you walk through the door, you will sense that it is a happy, caring and supportive school. From the displays on the walls to the smiles on the faces of the children and staff, you will know that it is perfect for the development and nurture of young minds as they start their education. |
Enthusiastically supported by our Governors, our committed and experienced staff provide expert teaching right across the curriculum. As a team, they are dedicated to the well-being, happiness and education of all the children in our care. |
As a voluntary-aided school, we have close links with Holy Trinity Church, Bramley and Christian values are implicit in every aspect of school life. |
We believe that parental input is just as important as our own expertise, so we work closely with the parents of the children in our care. Together, we will be better placed to ensure that their child's needs are met at every step - both in and out of school. Bramley Infant School fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection. In order to meet these responsibilities we aim to work with children, parents, professionals and the community to ensure the safety of the children and their families. Our Child Protection policy applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the school and a copy is available from the school office. |

The early years are a magical time for children; there's so much to learn and there are so many questions to ask. We look forward to helping your child discover the answers. If you should have any questions you would like to ask or would like to discuss our school further, please call me. Angela Angela Champness M.A. Ed., Headteacher

| As the Ofsted inspector noted in his report, parents think highly of the school. Here are a selection of parents' opinions: | |
"Since being at Bramley, my daughter's confidence has grown - she has learnt so much and the one to one contact she has with her teachers is excellent...... Although my daughter has only been going to this school for just over a year, she has done so much already and I'm glad I chose this school above any other." Nicky Bennett |
"My little boy Scott started Bramley Infants in their pre-school. He is now in his last year at the school. He has been very happy here and gets upset when it's the holidays, because he wants to go to school, The school is very parent friendly. They have lots of events for both parents and pupils. Scott and I will miss the school when he leaves in July." Tracey Wheeler |
| "I have found the school very attentive to the children's individual needs and will be more than happy to send my second child." Belinda Cramp | |
| The School is lucky to be supported enthusiastically by the Board of Governors. Here are a selection of their opinions: | |
| "The Read Write Phonics Scheme, which the school is now using and which allows the child to progress in their own small ability group, is producing some very good results. The Head teacher and staff are very supportive of the families as well as the children and the commitment of the parents is impressive. The result is a very close and caring school community." Jenny Fay | |
"Bramley Infants School has gone from strength to strength - many new school improvements and a really dedicated staff with a good staff/pupil ration really emphasize the judgment that it is a "Hidden Gem"". Richard Gates |
